Posie Kalin, the founder and executive director of Heartworks, is a professional artist & arts educator. Her artworks have been exhibited regionally and nationally and her teaching experience ranges from elementary to post-secondary at established institutions like the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Gonzaga University, Whitworth University and Eastern Washington University. She earned a BA from Burlington College in Vermont and an MFA from Portland State University, Portland, Oregon.

Jennifer GriffithBoard President - (SHE/HER) Arts Education DirectorcJennifer Griffith is a certificated educator, artist, and researcher. She recently graduated from Boston University with her M.A. Art Ed. and is currently teaching Secondary 2D/3D/AP Fine Arts in Spokane, WA with over 15 years experience in the public and private sector of arts education. Jennifer is the President-elect for the Washington Art Education Association, Vice President of NEWESD101 representative, and currently co-chairs the Justice Equity Diversity Inclusion Committee for the organization. She is currently enrolled in TAT Lab with Arts Washington and Office of Public Instruction.

My background in social benefit and corporate settings has given me a variety of skills, including grant proposal development, writing, and project coordination. For the past few years, my focus has been grant writing and small business assistance.

Mike CurrinLegal Adviser - (he / him)Michael Currin is of council at the Law Firm Hawley & Troxell. While moving into retirement, Michael has been practicing law for over twenty years. His practice has been in the areas of general business, banking, commercial real estate and debtor-creditor issues such as bankruptcy, and assists financial institutions with regulatory, credit and operational issues. Michael is frequently invited to speak at events sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association and other sponsors on topics like lender liability, and regulatory and financial issues. Michael will be advising Heartworks on any legal matters they may have.
